Not much painting was accomplished in 2015, either, because my color study took a lot long than I though and I didn't finish until early fall. Luckily, though, the color study was finished just in time for me to starry trying to capture one of the more beautiful aspects of Albuquerque, the Bosque in the fall. I spend a lot of time there because I try to get our dogs down there on the weekend for a walk on a three mile trial. Part of this trail wonders through a huge grove of cottonwood trees, and its hard to beat the spectacular yellow/gold coloration of their leaves when they turn in the fall.
