When I was going to school in Raleigh, I would drive to Charlotte to visit my family on holidays. The route I took was I-40 from Raleigh to Greesboro and then I-85 on to Charlotte. Every time the road split, I always told myself that I could just keep going on I-40 and eventually end up in California. Truth be told, I've always had a desire to live there, just havnet made it yet. I have, however, had a number of oppertunities to visit and am also lucky to have several friends that live there so dropping by has never been much of a problem. Still need to get further up the West Coast, but one does what one can.
Ahhh, the City by the Bay. Though not huge, I would have to say that this is probably my favorite city. Even if it werent for my long standing fascination with the Beat generation, you also have book stores and coffee houses on nearly every corner. Through in a couple of bars, and you've pretty much got every thing I need taken care of! Just too bad its so damned expensive.
These pictures come from a one-day marathon drive I took along the PCH in the weeks before I moved out to Hawaii. Like so many other places I've been, here is another where I'd like to go back and spend more time exploring
Some pircutres from the places around San Francisco and futher North.
Mainly San Diego and the La Jolla area.
